Ultrabook Rules
∞ Ultrabook Rules: I actually wonder when the last time a computer manufacturer, not named Apple, gave a damn about making a computer that made lives easier. Think about it: they don’t make the software, just the hardware — and yet that’s the part that seems like utter crap. To put it another way: if Apple hadn’t made version 2 of the MacBook Air a wild success, would any other PC...

Telco ❤ Android
A few reasons why Android is Telecommunication Operators true love It doesn’t require revenue share per subscriber like Blackberry services. Lots of variations to target multiple market segments. Operators can custom bundle applications (junkware) fairly easily. Reason 1 & 2 is enough to make it a true love for operators.

medriscoll: One of the holy grails of machine learning is the creation of a system that can “read the web” and learn from it, much the same way that Isaac Newton picked up Euclid’s Elements in a Cambridge bookshop and taught himself geometry. Imagine a mythical beast that could speed-read one-hundred… But I wonder if some of our challenges in creating this mythical learning machine lie...

aaronmahnke: This is my favorite photo of Steve Jobs. Leaning forward to connect with his wife after his keynote presentation at the 2011 WWDC. You can almost feel the relief and accomplishment radiating from him. When I see this photo, I see a man who bent every fiber of his will toward a goal so lofty, so seemingly unattainable that no one thought it was possible, and at the end of that...
